About Us
Carla and I have been with Mercy Ships since 1983 when we joined the Anastasis in New Zealand . Since then we have ministered in more than 30 different countries. We have three daughters, Cassia, Tamar and Queila. Since my childhood I was fascinated by the sea, a popular Brazilian song states “the sea is my level ground”. I think this was the foundation for the 10 years we lived as a family on the Mercy Ships, 8 years on the Anastasis and 2 years on the Good Samaritan . We sailed the South Pacific Islands , Caribbean, and North and South Atlantic . We have been blessed by being on the receiving end of hospitality from people in Africa Europe, North and South America and the Pacific Islands . In a recent trip to Ireland I was treated with roasted lamb at a typical Irish home, what a treat. In the Amazon we ate alligator tale. Well, by now you know that we are originally from Brazil , we love the Lord, we love people and to minister to their needs, we enjoy fellowsh
